Testimonials
There are many things I can say about the high quality of service I provide to my home seller and home buyer clients, but probably none would be as credible as testimonials from some of my recent clients themselves. So please take a moment to read the following testimonials. I hope they indicate my experience and integrity, as well as make it clear how much I enjoy helping people with their real estate needs.

To anyone looking for a Realtor® Choosing a home is one of the most important decisions a person can make. Choosing a community is even more important. We have been there, done that when it comes to looking for both. Once we came to the decision that the Fallbrook / Bonsall area was the place for our family, we realized we were going to need a local expert to help us. After a few days of speaking to quite a few agents we became sold on Mark Oatman. Mark made it real easy. By sitting down with our whole family, he began to know us better and understand our unique tastes and interests. Mark only showed us homes that met our desires, which was great because we had to travel a great distance to view the properties. When we finally made our choice, Mark immediately began to take an inventory of our future needs. This included everything from finding a terrific stable for our horses to hooking us up with a top tier group of contractors for the home improvements for which he knew we were interested. Its been nearly six months since we moved to Fallbrook and we remain fascinated how responsive Mark is to everything we throw his way, and we definitely cannot say that about other agents we have used in the past. Mark is relentless in his ability to bend over backwards in order to better serve his friends, which of course we consider he and his wonderful family to be. Many, many thanks Mark! Dear Mark, Jeani and I want to express our heartfelt gratitude for the successful handling of the sale of our house and the professional manner that you dealt with all the complexities of the appraisal, escrow and all the obstacles that arise with every transaction. You even succeeded in closing the escrow 15 days earlier than originally scheduled, to the satisfaction of the buyers and us. Also your help and coordination with the agent for the purchase of my "new" home in Palmdale was inestimable, resulting in that escrow closing 15 days early also. Not only did you solve the nitty gritty details with this transaction, I want you to know that I feel I have found a real friend from our interactions. The only sour note is that I find myself distanced from a friend that I would like to know more. Please know that if you and your lovely wife find yourself in Palmdale, please know that our home is your home. Thank you so much for your successful efforts, Eugene and Jean Garner

To all interested parties: When we decided to move our family down to the North County San Diego area from Silicon Valley, it was literally a life-changing decision. We had decided to “jump off the rollercoaster” of the fast-paced technology industry and live a quieter, simpler and less resource-intensive life. Once we made our decision to come to the Fallbrook area, we were introduced to Mark Oatman through a mutual friend. From the very beginning of our encounters with Mark we felt comforted and in capable hands. Not only did Mark take the time to really understand our needs and wants, our preferences and biases, but he was infinitely patient with us through the process. And, this process was a little more involved than usual -- involving flights back and forth, making arrangements for a 2 year old to be taken care, and because of the distance spending lots of after-hours time on the phone looking at internet listings and talking about needs. Mark clearly knew the area. We didn’t have specialized needs in terms of horses or boats/RVs, but we were fairly “high maintenance” in our tastes, combined with a need for some land and all at a more reasonable rate than the prices we had experienced in the Bay Area. So, we put him to the test. Mark ended up showing us more than 30 properties over the course of two months, including helping us construct two offers both of which were abandoned by the sellers at the last minute. It was a trying process. When it was all said and done, Mark helped guide our thinking about the “perfect property” for our needs, helped us get a great deal on the house, and was the consummate professional throughout the process. Furthermore, as newcomers to the area we benefited from his “above and beyond” help with introductions to endless numbers of contractors, tradesman and new restaurants. Because of his many connections in the area, he helped us settle comfortably in the Fallbrook community. After these 2-3 months of intensive communication, we considered Mark our friend. And, we’re pleased to say that Mark and his lovely wife and family are now “officially” great neighbors and wonderful friends of ours. We would recommend Mark highly as a very resourceful realtor. Despite his stated specialty in equestrian properties, he certainly is very knowledgeable about non-equestrian properties as well. Buying a new home should be an exciting, motivating event. And through Mark’s knowledgeable, calm, easy-going style, the complications and emotionalism seem to fade in the background. We’re delighted to have him as a realtor, friend and neighbor. Dear Sirs,
My move from Huntington Beach was a major change in my life after 20 years in the same home. During that time, my real estate dealings were either for investment purposes or assisting family members so it did not effect me on a personal level. Now I was looking at selling my own home and moving quite a distance from there so it became a bit scary. My dealings with real estate agents in general left an impression that once the sale is made, most of them were basically useless, unwilling to put anymore work into it. Consequently, I felt I was pretty much on my own in the quest of purchasing a home in Fallbrook. Through one of his advertisements, I e-mailed Mark Oatman with some parameters of what I was looking for. He promptly e-mailed me back and we located the home I wanted very quickly. Much to my amazement, my concerns about the geographics involved were all taken care of by Mark. Here are some of the things he did for me: 1. Having decided to make an offer on a Sunday, I knew I couldn’t get back down to Fallbrook till the following weekend so Mark came to me so we could make the offer. 2. He kept me posted every time anything happened and still touched bases with me when escrow was quiet to let me know everything was fine. Those things that did come up in escrow, he either answered very thoroughly or he would find out and call me back right away. 3. He came to the house for my inspector at the wee hours of the early morning to let him in. 4. When discussing items to be fixed, he helped me decide which “battles to fight” and what to let go of which resulted in a fair request to the owner. 5. I needed 520 linear feet of chain link fence for my animals to be contained but couldn't be there for the quotes. Mark located two companies and met each one at the property. 6. When property lines couldn’t be established, Mark found a professional to come out and take care of it. I was almost in shock as I watched Mark help dig with a shovel to locate the pins. I could go on with other things he did but I think you understand what I’m trying to say here. I was dealing with some stress on the other end with the sale of my house, but on the Fallbrook end, Mark took all the stress away and made it as smooth as it could possibly be. There was not one thing that he did not follow up on. He restored my faith that there are agents out there like him. (I hope there are more like him!) You are very fortunate to have him on your team as are those buyer and sellers that choose him as their agent. I will always be grateful to him for being the best for me. Thank you for taking the time to read my letter. Sincerely, Lisa Sapak

To whom it may concern,
I wanted to write a letter that Mark could use to demonstrate how pleased his past clients are with his service. Mark has handled both residential properties and land transactions for my family in the last year. Being from out of state, we depended on Mark to handle all aspects of the transactions. Mark has represented our interests with the utmost integrity and we are very pleased with the results. He took the time to explain all the details and kept us well-informed throughout the process. Mark successfully marketed and sold our properties and was able to get full price on both. Based on our experience we will not hesitate to use Mark for all of our real estate needs and we are pleased to be able to help by directing clients to him whenever possible. Mark has proven to me that he is competent, trustworthy, and continually exceeds my expectations of a Realtor If you would like to speak with me personally, I will be happy to give you more information. Sincerely, Larry Pierce

To whom it may concern, In 2002. it was time for Dan and me to move back to Southern California after a work assignment in South Carolina for 7 years. We had previously lived in San Diego County for 14 years. We knew we wanted to live in Fallbrook but needed some expert guidance on finding the right home for us. We looked on the internet for agents in the area and found a great website for a gentleman named Mark Oatman. We contacted him and liked his attitude and approach to find the right real estate property. Mark worked with us long distance and accommodated our few trips out to California to find our new home. Mark was willing to make time to show properties at virtually a last minute phone call - "we will be there on ______" Mark narrowed our search for the right property down to a science and we were able to find the right one quickly. His guidance and expertise helped us buy at the right price. Mark also took care of all the details that go with buying a home for us since we were out-of-state. We arrived with our belongings, Mark had our new house key in hand and we then settled in quickly. Mark was available for guidance to find the resources that we needed to further get settled. A job well done! So, when it came time to sell our home in Fallbrook and move to Northern California, Mark Oatman was our first thought. We called Mark, he came out to our home to see us, the house and give guidance on the current market. Mark explained that "variable range pricing" and multiple offers were how today's market operated. The three of us picked a price range, after reviewing comparables, and we went on our way to a successful sale. Mark has been instrumental in asuring a smooth and timely escrow and has followed up on every detail with guidance to us for things we needed to do. Escrow will close in just a few days and both Seller and Buyer are very satisfied with the transaction. Mark has always been available with just a phone call to his mobile phone for anything that was needed. Mark conducts himself in a very professional yet comfortable, approachable and friendly manner. Dan and I highly recommend Mark Oatman to anyone who needs real estate services. Fondly, The Lancasters Dan and Linda Friends and clients |
